Thermoplastic Materials - ABS-M30i
(Biocompatible Acrylonitrile/Butadiene/Styrene)

Rapid prototype made from ABS M30i thermoplastic material

ABS-M30i is a high strength material well suited for the medical and food packaging industries.  Parts manufactured with ABS-M30i material are biocompatible and can be gamma or EtO sterilized. When combined with a Stratasys FDM mc™ series system, ABS-M30i gives you biocompatible Real Parts™ with excellent mechanical properties that are well suited for prototyping and direct digital manufacturing.

Note: ABS-M30i meets ISO 10993-1 in its raw state. Parts produced from the FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) process must be re-certified before using in these types of applications. It is the responsibility of the finished device manufacturer to make a determination of the suitability of all the component parts and materials to be used in the finished products.

ABS-M30i is ideal for any of the following applications: Medical and food packaging, form, fit, function, concept modeling, feature detail, snap-fits, vacuum metallization, electroplating, and as a master for RTV molding, vacuum forming and rapid manufacturing of end-use products.

Achievable Accuracy

Titan and 400mc systems: Parts are produced within an accuracy of +/- .005 inch or +/- .0015 inch per inch whichever is greater (+/- .127 mm or +/- .0015 mm per mm whichever is greater).*

900mc systems: Parts are produced within an accuracy of +/- .0035 inch or +/- .0015 inch per inch whichever is greater (+/- .089 mm or +/- .0015 mm per mm whichever is greater).*

*Note: Accuracy is geometry dependent. Achievable accuracy specification derived from statistical data at 95% dimensional yield.

Maximum Build Dimensions*

Titan and 400mc: 16 x 14 x 16 (inch), 406 x 355 x 406 (mm)

900mc: 36 x 24 x 36 (inch), 914 x 610 x 914 (mm)

*Larger parts can be built in pieces and bonded if necessary
